Hello and welcome, I'm Kim, the founder of Sound Mediation! 

Throughout growing up friends would come to me talking about all different types of relationship issues and how they should be, things that work, things that don't and how to be as a person, as a friend. At some point during serval conversations friends would say "why are you mentioning the other persons side, you're seeing another's point of view?" Little did I know this was a gift! Listening, empathy, seeing others' views, compromising and solutions was an unknown natural gift at the time.

I proceeded with my college degree, moved away from my beautiful home state of Michigan to start a new journey in warmer, sunnier North Carolina! Born and raised in a family- owned business, I've been surrounded by being kind and using my customer service skills helping and assisting people with people's biggest, most difficult purchases in life, automobiles and obtaining a mortgage all while on and off dreaming of opening some sort of consulting business helping people and businesses retain customers and grow. Wow how has my journey shifted!    

An important part of my journey is having two beautiful and amazing children inside and out.  However, my relationship with their father ended in divorce. Along with so many emotions and unknowns while trying to digest and think how do I know what's best for my children until they are 18?  They aren't even in elementary school! Needless to say, it's been a process including lawyers, court dates, mediations and countless amounts of time, energy, emotions, much more on top of, more than one time!  It's been at ease sometimes and it's been extremely difficult others. Yet, the best compliments in life have been how well behaved and kind my children are and how amicable their father and I seem to be. It shows it's been a huge impact on them with parents who can try and get along as much as possible, and they see it and feel it. I'm happy and proud they do.

Today, my journey has led me to now shift my career by me helping, empowering and assisting people and families using my passion and natural gifts of listening, negotiating best interests of family's' and kids' situations to get to resolutions for everyone to live their best lives moving forward.
